I took a course through School of Motion called "Cinema 4d Ascent". Up until this point in my Cinema 4d journey, I was self-taught. I loved the artistic freedom this course provided. Every week, the class would get a mock client brief containing requirements that we'd have to fulfill. As the course progressed, I realized I enjoyed the process of look development and lighting a scene.
Project 1
For our first project, we were tasked with creating a style frame for a water commercial. I challenged myself to create condensation on the water bottle via x-particles. I tweaked the camera settings to create a nice soft depth of field effect.
Project 2
For this project, I had to create three unique materials to apply to each cat. The gradient material was the most fun to create, lots of little details and imperfections.
Project 3
Played around with some hair materials here for the rugs. I spent a good amount of time art directing the look, definitely going for a retro vibe.
Project 4
This last project was a really fun one. I spent a ton of time getting the lighting in this scene just right. The goal of the project was to generate those little color trails behind the spheres.
